DC United vs Vancouver
-Whitecaps offense is really coming along now. They created chances and scored on Man City, knocked in 2 at SJ, then a great 4 goal outing against Chicago last Sunday. They've gone over 2.5 in 5 of last 6 away while DC leaking goals like crazy, allowing 12 in last 5 at home while netting 9 themselves. Both De Rosario and Hassli are in great form and legitimate MVP candidates Weather cooled down a lot with temps in 70's so a great night for football, and goals

DC/VAN over 2.5 2u -105

Philadelphia vs Dallas

- Hit this one back a few months ago in Dallas and will press it in Philly. What I love about this one is that FCD conceded 3 last match in LA but almost every time they allow 2+ they dominate defensively next match. 7 other times (before LA) in 2011 they allowed 2+ goals and they've conceded just twice in the 7 matches that followed. Philly have the 2nd lowest home goals per game allowed average in the East and I expect a low scoring game here

PHI/DAL under 2.25 2u -105

RBNY vs Chicago
- RBNY must start fast tonight and they've done so at home all year. In their past 9 home league games they've led at HT in 6, even in 3, losing in none. They were humiliated in Salt Lake last week but are back home against the last placed team in the East. Really just a gut feel that RBNY start quick, as usual. Whether they hold on in 2H to win isn't a concern of mine...

Houston Dynamo vs Portland Timbers
- earlier this summer Portland played a hot, humid night match in Texas and were drubbed 4-0. While Houston isn't in Dallas' level they are a better team than Portland with a big fitness edge in this one. The state of Texas is in the middle of an unprecedented heat wave with already 47 days of 100+ temps this year and no real break in sight. Even though match is at night the temp will be at least 90 degrees and this is the first time since March that Portland is asked to play b2b road games, with just short rest before facing Sporting KC on Wednesday. The Timbers have allowed a goal in all but one road game and have never scored more than once away netting a league-worst 5 times away from home. Houston the exact opposite as they lead the Eastern Conference in home goals with 21. That figure should only rise with the inclusion of Carlo Costly, one of CONCACAF's best strikers, who was signed last week and should start on Sunday night. One thing I must mention against this pick is that Baldomero Toledo is the ref. He is an horrendous referee and Houston has won just 3 of 16 matches that he's done in his career. Even worse he's a red card machine as half his matches this year have seen a red card and 6 STRAIGHT Houston games he's reffed have seen a sending off.

Houston 3u -110
